About Marzano

The Marzano Teacher Evaluation model makes an overt connection between what teachers are doing and the results of instruction in the classroom.  It was carefully generated from a synthesis of research and theory.

This model is enhanced by clear descriptions of teaching and levels of performance using the following rating scales which enable teachers and observers to engage in focused practice and feedback:

  • 0-  Not using

  • 1-   Beginning

  • 2-  Developing

  • 3-  Applying
